The Workhouse is well signposted from the N56and is a short drive from the centre ofDunfanaghy. On site parking is available nearby,making it easy to stop in whether you are visitingfor an hour or spending the day.
Accessibility is an important consideration at The Workhouse. Key visitor areas including the Craft Shop, Coffee Shop, cinema, toilet facilities and much of the exhibition space are located on the ground floor. A lift provides access to the upper level of the exhibition.
If you have specific accessibility needs or questions ahead of your visit, we encourage you to contact us in advance so we canassist where possible
Parking is available close to the entrance, making arrival straightforward for visitors, families and groups. Coach and group drop off can be accommodated nearby, and signage around the site helps guide visitors once they arrive.
Toilet facilities are available on site for visitors. Seating is provided throughout the grounds, allowing space to rest, reflect or enjoy the surroundings during your visit.
The Workhouse is a family friendly site. In addition to indoor facilities, the community playpark offers a safe outdoor space for children of all ages. Parents and guardians can relax on benches or in the gazebo while children play.
Families are welcome to move through the site at their own pace and staff are happy to assist if needed.
Free WiFi is available for visitors throughout the site. This is particularly useful for accessing digital content, planning your next stop or staying connected while visiting.
Our staff are on hand during opening hours to answer questions, provide directions around the site and offer general assistance. As a Fáilte Ireland Tourist Information Point, we can also help with planning your wider visit to Donegal.
The Workhouse is open from 10.00am to 5.00pm, March to December. The site is open seven days a week during this period. Closed January and February except for pre arranged bookings.
Please note that the Café and Exhibition close daily at 4.00pm.
